Browser storage

Journeys, equipment ownership, checklists, loadouts, goals and journals stay on this device under sinistous-bwm-journeys-v1. Clearing site data can erase them. They are not read from or sent to the game. Avoid private credentials in notes.

Backups and account copies

Download a backup without signing in. A restore previews all journeys before replacing the browser copy and keeps a recovery copy. An optional account upload sends all saved journeys to this site’s Neon database only after preview and confirmation. Signing in does not upload automatically. Server revision checks reject stale account overwrites. Account copies are stored separately from browser data and downloaded files. Clearing either local copy does not delete the account copy.

Accounts and membership

Google or Discord provides your name, verified email, profile image and provider identifier. The authentication library may store provider tokens. Session cookies keep you signed in. Passwords stay with the provider. Network Premium is matched by verified email in the shared membership database. Stripe processes billing; Sinistous does not store card numbers. Manage subscription controls renewal; clearing browser data does not cancel it.

Optional usage measurement

Sharing is off by default. Signed-in volunteers can enable counts in My Journey: account ID, UTC day and visit/save/resume action, once per action per day. Notes and game progress never enter these counts. Operator reports are aggregate. Turning sharing off deletes your recorded usage; records older than 90 days are pruned on new writes.

Infrastructure and links

Vercel hosts the app, Neon stores account records, and Cloudflare provides DNS. They may process ordinary connection and security logs. Source links open third-party sites under their own policies. This app does not use advertising or game API keys.
